Someone asked to hear alternate mixes from the Black Lives record proper so here is one of em. There were decent rough mixes at a couple stages and this one is from Platinum Audio on Selma. It wasn't even really a recording studio more of a vintage gear warehouse. Musmanno talked us into the spot and we had a control room with a couple consoles hooked up. I think a Neve, an Api 1604 and also an old Universal Audio tube desk. It was pretty awesome. Anyhow this is from one of our nights of rough mixes at least 2/3 of the record was done. Sometimes it was done and then we did it again. Out of our minds at that point but at least the guitar sounds sorta like guitar in this mix.

Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker

If/when the apocalypse ever occurs, The Black Queen's Fever Daydream will be its official soundtrack and manifesto. And, I'm living for it as we dance ourselves into oblivion. DAS VILLAIN
